Mission

ADENES Group is a European leader in loss adjustment, operating across 9 countries with over 5,000 employees and 1,600 field experts. We intervene before, during and after claims events to deliver the best possible support to insurers and policyholders alike. Our mission is built on expertise, trust, and the continuous improvement of the claims experience.

As our IT division continues to grow, we are investing seriously in the tools and platforms that underpin our operations across Europe. This role sits within the Innovation & IT Projects Department and carries real weight: the systems you build and maintain directly shape how thousands of claims professionals do their work every day.

Process modelling and workflow automation sit at the core of our digital transformation. This position strengthens a growing BPM team with a structuring mandate: you will be one of the key contributors to the quality and consistency of the workflows that support Group-wide operations.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Deploy, configure and integrate Camunda 8 within our application architecture, ensuring robustness and long-term maintainability
  • Design and model complex business processes using BPMN 2.0, translating operational requirements from business teams into reliable, executable workflows
  • Build and maintain structured decision rules via DMN / DTD, keeping them readable and adaptable as the business evolves
  • Own the integration of processes within the existing application ecosystem, anticipating downstream impacts across adjacent systems
  • Collaborate actively with DevOps teams to cover the full lifecycle of workflows, from development through to production deployment
  • Contribute to technological watch and continuous improvement, challenging existing practices and bringing forward concrete, well-reasoned proposals for evolution

Profil

You hold a degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline and bring at least five years of hands-on experience with BPM tools, with demonstrable expertise in Camunda 8 — covering BPMN/DMN modelling, deployment, and integration into existing application architectures. You know how to read a system, identify friction points in a process, and propose solutions that hold up over time rather than just solving for the immediate problem.

Your contribution goes beyond the technical. You are able to understand the business intent behind a workflow, engage with non-technical stakeholders without losing precision, and maintain a process-oriented perspective that bridges business constraints and implementation choices. You work with rigour, honour your commitments, and know how to bring teams along with your proposals rather than simply imposing them.

Full professional fluency in English is required. A strong command of French — minimum C1 level — is equally required for this role, given the Group's French operational roots and the regular interactions with French-speaking teams, stakeholders, and documentation across Europe. Portuguese is considered an asset.

What to Expect When You Join

Your onboarding will include a structured introduction to ADENES's business units – as claims management is a specific and fascinating world – combining hands-on time with the team and the context you need to deliver from day one.

You will be joining a BPM team with real scope to influence architecture decisions and evolve existing practices. The Group invests in continuous learning and specialist development paths, and you will benefit from close, attentive management that takes work-life balance seriously. As part of a European Group of over 5,000 people, internal mobility opportunities are genuinely available for those who want to grow beyond their initial role. Working from Porto, you will be embedded in an internationally-connected team with daily exposure to colleagues and projects across nine countries.
